Irish Aerial Creation Centre (IACC) is set to present its annual Future Creators Show 2025 on Saturday, December 13, putting the creativity and talent of young people at IACC on display.

This event is the result of a year-long collaboration between the young people of the IACC and the Limrockers Cru hip hop dance group, helping young performers develop skills and nurture their creativity.

Head Teacher at IACC, Sara Granda, explained to I Love Limerick how the show is led by the young performers, with guidance from the expert teachers at the IACC. She said, “We gather a bunch of kids together and then they all get to create a show together with their ideas and Charlotte, as the director of the show. Then they put their own input in it, because for us, it’s very important that their voices are heard.”

The performers rehearse every Friday and Sunday with their own ideas under the guidance of Charlotte, ensuring the young people’s vision remains at the heart of the process and the final show.

This year’s show features 40–50 performers, with half of them dancing on the floor under the tutelage of Baz from Limerockers Cru, and the other half taking to the air with Sara explaining that this year “they’re going to be merging together”.

One of the young performers said, “Every year we do different things, but this year we’re doing free-fly and silks. Free-fly is where you put on a harness and you get clipped to the ceiling, and then you just fly around, and it’s really fun!”

Speaking about the creative process, Yolandi told I Love Limerick, “ Charlotte is the director, so she kind of tells us what to do and then she asks us a bunch of questions like, ‘what would we do then?'”

Her friend and fellow performer, Siofre, said, “ Fridays we’re all together and Sundays we’re split into a younger group and an older group. The younger group is doing a group fre-fly piece and a group silks piece. But then we also do our own pieces, we do duets and trios and solos and stuff, we are doing a cocoon piece together.”

The 2025 theme, “The Little Magical Light,” tells the story of a glowing light that guides the show’s narrative, bringing a sense of wonder and enchantment to the performance.

Irish Aerial Creation Centre presents their Future Creators Show 2025 on Saturday, December 13! Limerick’s Future Creators is a collaboration between the young people of the Irish Aerial Creation Centre (IACC) and Limerockers Cru hip hop dance group, who have been working on the show all year. The IACC develops the young people’s skills in performance on the ground, in the air, and in music. In this way, they hope to encourage the young people to see themselves not just as students but as young artists, Future Creators, learning how to work collaboratively and across art forms.

Tickets are €5 for adults or €15 for a family and are available on the IACC website.
