Granagh Ballingarry GAA, Camogie, and Ladies Football clubs come together to support the phased development of the club’s facilities at the Granagh Ballingarry GAA Field with a Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser.

The event takes place on Saturday, October 12, at the Charleville Park Hotel where 13 couples will take the stage for a night of dazzling performances, followed by a DJ to keep the crowd dancing for the night.

Each couple has been introduced over the past few weeks across the club’s social media accounts with community members given the chance to sponsor the duos through their individual iDonate pages.

Further money will be raised for the club through ticket sales for the event, with tickets on sale soon for €25.

So far, the clubs have raised more than €10,000 representing a huge step in their overall fundraising target, allowing them to advance to Phase 2 of their Development Plan, marking an exciting period of rejuvenation for the grounds.

The community’s enthusiastic support has been key in making this vision a reality, and the clubs are grateful for the ongoing generosity.

Reflecting on the achievement so far, a club spokesperson said, “In addition to Strictly Come Dancing, and to pause and celebrate our progress so far, we are hosting a Family Fun Day on September 28, 2024, where we will officially open the new training fields at the rear of the grounds.

“It’s a momentous occasion, and we’ve invited some special local guests to mark the opening.

“The day will be packed with activities, including games and showcases by our talented U6 to U12 teams. Join us for some finger food, teas, coffees, and plenty of family fun as we celebrate the community’s hard work and dedication.”
