Griffith College celebrates 20 years in Limerick city with largest graduation ever

Griffith College Limerick 2025 graduation ceremony was the largest graduation ceremony since the opening of the Limerick campus
Griffith College, Ireland’s largest private higher education institution, held its 2025 Limerick graduation ceremony on November 19 at Thomond Park. It was the largest graduation ceremony since the opening of the Limerick campus.
Graduations were held earlier in the month at Griffith College Dublin and Griffith College Cork, culminating in a spectacular ceremony for Limerick.
Students were naturally beaming with delight on graduation day as they traversed the stage to pick up their parchments. The courses that they completed ranged from Engineering, Cyber Security, Sustainable Tourism, Supply Chain and Procurement.

Mid way through the ceremony, the Student of Year Award was presented to Padraic Rafter for outstanding academic achievements and for showcasing exceptional leadership skills throughout his studies.
The Griffith College graduation ceremony serves as a memorable and significant celebration that marks all the hard work the students have put in. It not only represents the culmination of all those late nights in the library and early mornings in the lecture hall but an opportunity to share this meaningful moment with their classmates.
Professor Diarmuid Hegarty, President of Griffith College, said, “We are delighted to present the Student of the Year award to Padraic Rafter who has clearly shown that through dedication and commitment, tremendous success can be achieved.”
Griffith College Limerick is celebrating 20 years as part of the city’s educational landscape, as it continues to grow as one of the country’s leading private higher education providers, adapting its courses to the demands of industry and innovation.
As part of Griffith College, Ireland’s largest private higher-level institution with more than 50 years of history, the vibrant, newly renovated Limerick City Centre campus is centrally located and boasts a student-centred approach in a dynamic and diverse learning environment at its city centre location based on the Crescent, O’Connell Avenue.
The College offers programmes from Level 6 to Level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications, including undergraduate and postgraduate courses designed with strong industry input.
As the 2025 graduation ceremony has now ended, Griffith College Limerick commences planning and preparation for new students who choose to start studying in February 2026. With a broad range of courses to choose from, including an exclusive Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) in partnership with Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.
Other programmes offered from Griffith College Limerick include a one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Tourism with Sustainable Engineering and Business Analytics, due to commence in September 2026.
