Happy Food at Home has made a name for itself in Limerick as the leading vegan caterer by catering “for every vegan need you have”

Happy Food at Home, Limerick’s top vegan caterer, has set itself apart for those seeking to lead a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle by providing delicious plant-based meals in Limerick and the Mid West.
Based in Crossagala Industrial Estate on the Ballysimon Road and known for its weekly slot at Limerick’s Milk Market, this vegan kitchen, founded by Ciara Brennan, brings a range of vegan dishes, catering to diverse dietary needs, to health and taste-conscious customers in Limerick. Whether gluten-free, dairy-free, or focused on protein-rich options, Happy Food at Home promises nutritious, flavourful meals.
Ciara told I Love Limerick, “Happy Food at Home is catering for every vegan need that you have. So people come to me and they want vegan food for their parties; whether you’re gluten-free, whether you’re dairy-free, we produce fantastic flavours.”
The inspiration behind Happy Food at Home came from Ciara’s personal health journey, after a breast cancer diagnosis, Ciara transitioned to a vegan diet to improve her health and well-being, she explained, “The inspiration was that I became vegan because I had breast cancer, I wanted to improve my diet, and I just love cooking, I’ve always been cooking. So I just turned it vegan, I veganised everything I knew!”
Today, Ciara’s love for cooking and vegan cuisine has seen her business grow and become a much-loved pillar in local Limerick cuisine as she captured the hearts and stomachs of food lovers in the city and county.
The Happy Food at Home base in Crossagala Estate offers customers a convenient stop to pick up all their vegan food requirements and offers ample parking while operating Tuesday to Friday from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.
“It’s fantastic, there’s a huge catchment area here, And you get your fresh food,” Ciara said, she continued, “Some people order online, I work a lot through social media. So on Instagram, every Monday, a new menu goes up. I also send it out – I have people on a database – and they order and they come and collect it either in the milk market or generally here.”

Adding to the idea of sustainability, one of the most appealing aspects of Happy Food at Home is offering and encouraging customers to bring their own containers for collections or when shopping in the store.
Ciara focuses on seasonal and organic ingredients for the kitchen’s ever-changing menu, she said, “I try to do about 10 salads a day, fresh, as organic as I can possibly make it. We have hot dishes like lasagnas, enchiladas, breads, amazing gluten-free breads, and I’ve been really concentrating on protein. A lot of people want protein, they’re training, so I’m putting protein in everything. Our tofu BLT is flying out!”
She assures that even mentioning BLTs and sausage rolls, everything is “All vegan” telling I Love Limerick’s Richard Lynch, “All vegan, all made from tofu, from nuts, legumes, kidney beans. What I really like to do is make sure I’m dealing with stuff. It’s seasonal food and organic food. So I do change it.”
With their base in the Crossagala Industrial Estate on the Ballysimon Road, the public will also have the chance to taste Happy Food at Home’s delicious vegan offerings at Limerick’s Milk Market on Saturdays and the group even go as far as Ennis, bringing their stall to the Ennis Farmer’s Market on Fridays from 8 am to 1 pm.
