The Ireland Funds, the global philanthropic network, has awarded funding to a Limerick-based non-profit organisation through its Heart of the Community Fund grant round. The Limerick organisations supported are Narrative 4 Ireland; Learning Hub Limerick; and Children’s Grief Centre.

This latest round of funding from The Ireland Funds totals $1 million and supports education initiatives that expand access to learning for people of all ages, alongside innovative programmes addressing pressing social challenges and building stronger, more resilient communities.

The grants have been made possible through the generosity of donors to The Ireland Funds America, the largest of the global chapters of The Ireland Funds, demonstrating the power of collective philanthropy to drive meaningful change across communities throughout Ireland.

Caitriona Fottrell, President & CEO of The Ireland Funds, said, “Across Ireland, organisations are responding to local challenges with ambition, creativity and deep community knowledge, and this funding helps give them the resources to go further.

Learning Hub Limerick is one of the three Limerick not-for-profit organisations to receive funding.

“From expanding access to education to supporting innovative ideas, these grants are helping drive meaningful progress across the island. None of this happens without the generosity of our donors who continue to support real progress across the island.”

At a time when young people face rising loneliness and unprecedented social pressures, this sustained funding allows us to expand our Story Exchange programmes beyond the 24,000 young people in Ireland already reached last year.
