Announcing the Limerick spring Saturdays’ series, CEO of Helium Arts Helene Hugel said, “The aim of our Limerick spring Saturdays is to inspire creativity, provide social opportunities, offer new experiences, foster friendships, and improve the wellbeing of children and young people living in or near Co Limerick with chronic health conditions.
“These children and young people can often face loneliness, stress, anxiety, and can feel defined by their condition. They can experience stigma associated with their condition, social isolation and loneliness and fewer quality friendships. Through our spring art workshops and meet-ups, they can build confidence, make friends, and just have fun.”
Helium Arts’ Limerick spring Saturdays series is part of a project funded by Creative Ireland’s Creative Health & Wellbeing programme in conjunction with Tipperary County Council, Clare County Council and Limerick City & County Council, as well as the JP McManus Charitable Foundation.
Helium Arts’ Limerick spring Saturdays are now open for registration for 8-12-year olds and for 13-16-year-olds The deadline for applications is Friday, 14th February.
