Limerick favourites, Hermitage Green, are set to take to the King John’s Castle stage with a special 15-year milestone celebratory gig over the May Bank Holiday weekend in 2026.

The band say they can’t imagine a “better way to celebrate 15 years” other than the special homecoming gig which will see the group return to one of the city and country’s most iconic venues with King John’s Castle as a backdrop.

Joining the band as special guest on the evening will be Jamie McIntyre who is currently celebrating the release of his current EP, For Folk Sake, and recently announced an Irish tour taking place in February 2026. With the addition of Jamie to the lineup, it promises an evening of incredible Irish-influenced music.

Since their formation in 2011, Hermitage Green have grown a dedicated fanbase both in Limerick and further afield, thanks to their high-energy live performances and genre-connecting music which blends folk, rock, and roots, bringing the band to stages around the world. With their global recognition, the band has sold out tours at home as well as in Australia, North America, and the Middle East while releasing some incredible studio LPs.

Following the announcement, the band said, “We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate 15 years together than by coming home to play King John’s Castle.”

They noted the gig will be a special homecoming back to where it all began, saying, “It’s where so much of our journey began, and to mark this milestone surrounded by our fans, friends, and family means the world to us.”

On Instagram, they shared, “We’re coming back to the Castle! King John’s Castle, Limerick, is one of our favourite venues anywhere in the world, and we’ve had some of the best nights of our lives on that stage. Also delighted to welcome Jamie McIntyre on support. All tickets go on sale this Friday.”

The addition of Hermitage Green sees the live music offerings over what is sure to be a busy bank holiday weekend for music lovers, with The Human League announced in October to play on Saturday, May 2.

Tickets are set to go on sale this Friday, November 7 and will be available through the Dolan’s website.
