The countdown has begun for the Hiscox Padel Irish Open as Ireland prepares to host its largest padel event yet and the country’s first professional tournament.

Anticipation is growing as the competition draws closer, as Padel LK is gearing up to host players, fans, and clubs from across the country for the landmark moment for the sport in Ireland.

Taking place from November 12–16 at Padel LK in Limerick, the event marks the first time Ireland will host a professional tournament as part of the Cupra FIP Tour, the International Padel Federation’s global competition circuit.

The Hiscox Padel Irish Open, organised by ForeFront Sports and the Padel Federation of Ireland, in partnership with Padel LK, will welcome a strong field of international athletes alongside Ireland’s top talent, showcasing the sport’s rapid development and growing competitive standard nationwide.

The event’s Title Sponsor, Hiscox, represents the first global brand to support a professional padel tournament in Ireland, further highlighting the sport’s accelerating presence and potential.

Speaking ahead of the final countdown, Cian Branagan, CEO of ForeFront Group, added, “The level of interest and excitement surrounding this event has been outstanding. Richard is a presenter, producer, songwriter and actor. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year (2011) and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards (2011) for promoting multi-culturalism online. Richard says that the ilovelimerick.com concept is very much a community driven project that aims to document life in Limerick.
