RTÉ’s Home of the Year 2025 grand final winner has been announced as Limerick couple Amy and Eoin Martin for their 1970s ‘upside-down home’

After weeks of home designs which had enthusiasts and professionals enthralled, the winners of the RTÉ Home of the Year 2025 have finally been announced with a Limerick couple’s renovated 1970s home taking the top spot.
Among the standout contenders was a remarkable entry from Limerick couple Amy and Eoin Martin, whose 1970s home wowed the judges and secured a place in the coveted final with an incredible 27 points.
Now in its 11th season, the show returned to screens in February, with judges Hugh Wallace, Amanda Bone, and new judge Siobhán Lam tasked with the mission to find Ireland’s most beautifully designed homes.
From converted old shops to mid-terrace houses, over the course of eight weeks, the judges toured properties across the country in search of innovation, personality, and style.
Amy and Eoin live in Limerick with their two sons, and took their 1970s home on a transformation inside and out, flipping it ‘upside down’, meaning some bedrooms are on the ground floor with living spaces and kitchen on the upper floor. The couple’s renovation took the D3 BER-rated property to an A3.

Interior designer Amy Martin described the project as a true passion, and her dedication did not go unnoticed. The judges awarded the home a near-perfect score of 27 points, with Siobhán Lam giving a perfect 10.
Speaking about the home, Siobhan Lam said, “This home radiates joy and it’s a perfect representation of the homeowners; you could see their love and dedication to this home everywhere. From the warm, vibrant colour palette to the delicious retro details throughout – this home ticked all the boxes.”
