From Thursday, December 8 until Sunday, December 11, The Hunt Museum hosts Magic of Christmas , a series of christmas events.
The event will officially launch on Thursday the 8th of December at 15:00pm when Santa will be arriving with his elves via boat to turn on the Christmas tree lights in the courtyard. The evening will also mark the beginning of our Christmas food and craft fair which will host a number of local Limerick food makers and craft makers. The fair will operate on Thursday 8th from 3pm – 9pm, Friday 9th 4pm – 9pm, Saturday 10th, 11am – 6pm and Sunday 11th, 11am – 6pm.
Along with the Christmas fair we will be also hosting live music in the riverside garden at the museum throughout the weekend.
In addition to this the garden will also be host to our live crib on Friday and Saturday, which will feature live donkeys and sheep to help bring the nativity to life.
The Hunt Museum will also be collaborating with the city in Bedford Row where they will be facilitating a Christmas lantern making workshop on Saturday 10th December.
We will also be hosting a series of arts and crafts workshops in our elves workshop in the Education Wing of the museum throughout the weekend. Children will also be invited to take part in our Nativity trail around the museum.
The Hunt Café will be hosting a gingerbread making competition, where the public are invited to submit entries and the winner will receive a large cash prize.
The Hunt Museum have also partnered with Nevsail to offer adventure sports throughout the weekend such as archery, kayaking and a climbing wall.
