I Love Limerick bags are hitting stores across Limerick city! But what exactly are these bags for and about, you might ask?

JJ O Toole Ltd. are a hugely successful family run Limerick business who are celebrating 101 years in business and currently supply retail bags to all different companies and organisations across the country such as Brown Thomas and Dunnes Stores. They also create bags specifically for smaller scale shops using white non-branded retail bags.

In honour of showing their love for Limerick they have decided to brand all these white bags with the I Love Limerick logo! I am beyond honoured that they chose our logo to help and promote local Limerick businesses. The idea is very simple but effective for retailers who were very keen to jump on board with this unique idea!

To kick off distribution of the I Love Limerick bags, JJ O Toole Ltd. hosted a competition to give away a box of free I Love Limerick bags. Luigi Ryan who created the concept tells me, “We got people to nominate their favourite local Limerick retailer that they felt loved Limerick and the retailer with the most likes won.”

Limerick business Wellnice Pops won the bags and this business is the brainchild of Limerick friends Trín and BJ who create 100% vegetable and fruit juice ice pops and used their combined their skills as Engineer and Nutritionist to create the healthy snack range.

The bags are expected to attract quite a lot of attention particularly out in the streets of Limerick! “People will be curious as to where customers got these bags after purchasing items,” Luigi told me. This is the main reason why JJ O Toole Ltd. created the I Love Limerick bags, to bring positive attention to local retailers!

Richard Lynch of I Love Limerick commented, “These bags are set to hit the streets of Limerick in the coming months and we couldn’t be more excited to get involved with such an exciting project! I am usually used to promoting everyone else and its rare that anyone thinks of giving back and promoting us in return so I am indebted to JJ O’ Toole for thinking of us.”
