Influencer Louise Cooney

Louise is known for her kind heart and she is an ambassador for Pieta House and Unicef Ireland.

Limerick’s Louise Cooney has been named Influencer of the Year at the inaugural National Digital Awards 2020. The winners and runners-up were announced Friday, February 26, by the leading digital representative body Digital Business Ireland. 

Digital Business Ireland, in partnership with title sponsor, Permanent TSB, launched the Digital Awards in October 2020 to promote and mark best practices in digital businesses, digital innovation, and the people that power them. Anyone who received this award demonstrated Ireland’s best digital businesses that are innovating beyond the current challenges caused by the pandemic. Over 300 businesses and individuals entered the 2020 Award series across thirteen categories.

“Selecting the winners proved to be a genuinely difficult task in light of the exceptional quality and high standard of the entries. With numerous standout submissions, the expert judging panel had an exceptionally difficult task. The passion and perseverance of businesses in Ireland was consistent throughout and we were thrilled to reward their hard work and endeavour at our virtual event,” said Lorraine Higgins, secretary-general of Digital Business Ireland.

 

Influencer Louise Cooney is a Fashion, Lifestyle, and Travel blogger from Dooradoyle, Limerick. She has an impressive following of 214k on Instagram.

In 2019, Louise was awarded Most Stylish Online Influencer at the VIP Magazine Awards. In 2017, she was awarded a 40 under 40 award for her achievements in the blogging world as well as a U Magazine 30 under 30 award in the fashion industry category. In 2016, she won Best Fashion Blog in the Blog Awards Ireland.

Louise has worked with some of the world’s leading brands including Emirates, Victoria’s Secret, Dior, Tom Ford, Armani, NARS, Tommy Hilfiger, GUESS, H&M, River Island, PUMA, Rimmel, Primark, and many more.

Louise is also known for her kind heart and she is an ambassador for Pieta House and Unicef Ireland. Most recently she helped to raise €1,700 for the homeless in Galway when she made an appearance at a virtual student fundraiser.

Louise said, “I started this corner of the internet as a hobby in 2014 and for the last 3 and a half years it’s been my full-time job. I’ve shared a lot of my life, experiences, and ideas online over the last 6 years – from living in Dublin to moving to New York and then coming back home again during the pandemic.”

She added that when she gets contacted by a company to promote a product, she would never accept a job for something she hasn’t already tried and loves.

“I really do stand behind that, I believe in integrity and I think that’s why I’ve gotten as far as I have in the industry because people can trust me.”
