Building a strong network of support between communities and organisations is the foundation stone of what Insight Magazine is all about. Now in existence for over six months, the family-run publication is very much about supporting local communities and businesses, especially start-up businesses and those in the tourism sector. The magazine focuses on the positive side of life and covers a wide range of topics ranging from news and business articles to interviews with members of the community. For the July issue myself, Leanne Moore, Michelle McMahon and Frances Healy are on the cover representing IloveLimerick.com and they do an interview with me about where we came from and where we are going. In the past they have interviewed the likes of JLS, Paul O’Connell and Celia Holman Lee,” Donie O’Connor, the CEO of Insight Magazine, explained to me.

Lifestyle editor Dympna O’Connor added that they wanted this magazine to be something that people would pick up and put down again and again throughout the month, and that is exactly what has been achieved.

“Insight Magazine is about real people, real stories, real lives. We cover a wide range of topics in our lifestyle section from fashion, cooking, gardening, as well as our regular slots of model for a day, health and well-being, and our motivational pages from our two regular weight watchers,” she said.

“People tell me they collect all the issues of Insight Magazine, and we have people ringing us on a regular basis looking for back issues.”
