PHOTOS International Day of the Girl in Limerick

Sunday, October 11 was International Day of the Girl and Limerick is getting ready to celebrate after fantastic work by Kathleen Turner and her team, who put these events together. The event was led by girls but it is for ALL the family to enjoy this past Sunday at the Limerick Milk Market.

There was an action packed schedule which commenced with 11am Weekly Yoga and 12pm Weekly Tai Chi Class

The Main Day of the Girl activities begin at 12pm to 4pm Sunday 11th October, with :

  • Storytelling, which featured stories where girls are the heroes!
  • Move Your Body, Use Your Voice, featuring dance, song, spoken word, and a big old family boogie!
  • A giant trad session led by the awesome Cairenn Keegan and Brid Dunne!
  • And lots more…..

Also present for the day was Plan International, who are working hard to raise awareness and funds through their Because I am a Girl Global campaign!

Crowds came and joined the fun Limerick Milk Market and celebrate International Day of the Girl!
