Irish Patchwork Society Mid West Branch Invites new members

Do you love patchwork, quilting, appliqué and working with beautiful fabrics?   At the Mid-Western Branch of the Irish Patchwork Society, they share their love of all these at their monthly meetings and weekly sewing nights.

The meetings are held on the second Friday of every month from September 2017 to June 2018, except for December, when they meet on the first Friday of the month. Meetings take place at the Limerick Baptist Church, Old Cratloe Road, Limerick, with doors opening at 7.30pm. The next meeting will be held on Friday, September 8th at 7.30pm and all are welcome to join the branch.

Meetings include guest speakers, pop-up shops which sell a selection of fabrics, threads and quilting essentials; demonstrations and sharing of members’ work.  They have an extensive library of quilt books which members can borrow.  During the year, they also offer workshops, weekly sewing nights and members’ challenges and group projects.

The Irish Patchwork Society was founded in 1981 to promote the practice and art of patchwork, appliqué, and quilting in Ireland. There are currently 8 branches located throughout Ireland. Members of the Irish Patchwork Society are offered opportunities to exhibit in exhibitions at local, national and international level. Members also receive a quarterly newsletter by post.

You are invited you to join the Mid-West branch of the Irish Patchwork Society. They welcome quilters of all levels. You will be facilitated and encouraged to develop your knowledge, skills, creativity, and confidence; and to make new friends who share an interest and love for all things patchwork!
