The show will be a mixture of Joe’s best stand up and musical comedy from the last ten years. Joe garnered many favorable reviews for his shows at The Edinburgh Fringe over recent years. The intensity he puts into his singing and character acting is on another level. His act rolls along smoothly and nothing felt forced. This show features songs such as Bring Back the Oul’ Potato, a paean to the potato and how its demise has led to an onrush of psychological and sexual confusion, and I Want to Eat the Pilot, an emotional ballad about cannibalism from Alive! the musical.

As a comic actor getting hired to do 6 years on the RTE sitcom series Killinaskully was a great experience for Joe. Each week had up to one million viewers. He played the part of Timmy and was booked as a comedy writer for the last two series. Joe has have been performing stand up comedy professionally for twenty years. As a comedian, he has traveled the world for festivals in Milwaukee, Kansas, Moscow, Edinburgh, and Glastonbury. He’s even been to China, USA, UK and the Middle East ( Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman).

The intensity he puts into his singing and character acting is on another level. His act rolls along smoothly and nothing felt forced. Shut Your Cakehole is an enjoyable romp with songs, great stand-up and excellent storytelling, full of gags. – Chortle 2019
