John Loftus has expressed his sincere thanks to everyone who supported Thursday’s 5km charity walk from the South Court Hotel, which proved a huge success with more than 70 people taking part.

The walk was held in support of Cliona’s Foundation and formed part of John’s year-long challenge to walk 2,000km – approximately four times the length of Ireland – to raise funds and awareness for the charity.

John, a long-time supporter of Cliona’s Foundation, was delighted with the turnout and the generosity shown on the day.

“I was absolutely delighted with the turnout. To have more than 50 people come along and walk with us was fantastic, and I want to sincerely thank every single person who took part, donated or helped us promote the event.

“A fantastic amount of money was raised for Cliona’s Foundation, which does incredible work supporting families during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

“I’d also like to thank Stefan Maidenment and all his team the South Court Hotel for their support and everyone who helped make the day such a success.”

The event proved a huge success with more than 70 people taking part.

John’s 2,000km challenge will continue over the coming months as he aims to raise as much money and awareness as possible for Cliona’s Foundation.

“Thursday was a very special day and showed the incredible community support that is out there. Thank you to everyone who has supported the challenge so far – there are plenty more kilometres to go!
