Limerick kids called to participate in new RTÉjr show JourneyCam
Dreyhouse Films are making a new series for RTÉjr, and are calling out on the children on Limerick City.
JourneyCam is a new series for kids. The show will be all about transport, journeys and life in the urban environment.
For kids, journeys are opportunities to explore, observe and soak up information about the world around them. Even on the most ordinary of journeys, the extraordinary can be found!
Journey Cam will be an opportunity for kids to “show and tell” other young viewers all about their local, urban landscape, how they experience the built environment around them, some of the things they notice or look out for as they go about their journeys or daily routines.
The main interest of the show is where the participating kids go, how they get there, who they travel with, what they see, and all the chats they have along the way. Journey Cam would love to hear from chatty and outgoing kids from all cities, towns, and villages between the ages of 4 years and 8 years old.
Participants will get to use a special ‘JourneyCam’ to show and tell the viewers all about a variation of their everyday journeys through their town or village.
The producers and directors behind JourneyCam are calling out on the children of Limerick to apply for this new series. Limerick is so full of interesting landmarks, from Masers petrol station to the Treaty Stone to name a few!
The application form to apply can be found at https://rtejr.rte.ie/be-part-of-rtejr/journeycam-application/, or people can email [email protected].
Closing date for applications is April 8. The show will be aired during the Summer, and so successful applicants may be required to be available for filming during the months of April, May and June 2018.
