As they gathered in the school assembly hall David Quilter congratulated them and said “Well done to each and every one of you. This is a milestone on your educational path and here at the school we are all very proud of you. A huge congratulations is also due to your teachers and parents who always work so hard to support you.”

Of the students who sat the State exam in Limerick in June, 1,337 were girls and 1,389 were boys.

Results are available in schools from this morning, while those who are not in a position to collect their results in person from their school can access them through the State Examinations Commission’s online results service from 4pm.

The Minister for Education and Skills, Jan O’Sullivan, congratulated those students who received their results today.

“I hope that your results reflect the hard work you have put into your studies and give you a solid foundation to continue your studies in the coming years,” she said.

Ms O’Sullivan added “I would like to acknowledge the work of the teachers in preparing their students over the three year cycle and also acknowledge the key role that parents and the wider family play in supporting the students.”
