This year the event has expanded to a series of webinars taking place via Zoom from 9.15am to 10.30am on Tuesday, 11 November 2025 and from 9.15am to 10.30am on Thursday 13 November 2025.

The series is designed for Transition Year, Fifth Year and Leaving Certificate students who are interested in pursuing a career in the world of healthcare.

An informative and inspiring range of representatives from a range of healthcare professions will contribute to the fourth annual event, organised by the Health Sciences Academy with Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board and the Limerick Education Support Centre.

The Junior Health Sciences Academy is part of the Health Sciences Academy partnership between University of Limerick, UL Hospitals Group and HSE Mid West Community Healthcare, and is specifically focused on supporting students in early careers, health promotion and leadership in health.

Students will hear from clinical staff from UL Hospitals Group and HSE Mid West Community Healthcare as they describe their healthcare career journeys and day to day work practices. Third level students from health sciences programmes at University of Limerick will also give insights and guidance on subject choices and career opportunities.
