Kamal Ibrahim portrait event for the Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival 2018
Calling All Budding Portrait Artists!
Kamal Ibrahim strikes a pose for the Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival.
The Further Education and Training Centre, Kilmallock Road Campus, is running a special event this year as part of the Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival, ‘A chance to paint a portrait of Kamal Ibrahim’. Kamal is a TV Presenter, Producer, and Former Mr. World.
This is the second time this event is being held. Last year it was the Mayor of Limerick Kieran O’Hanlon who posed for the session. The Festival is supported by a variety of partners coming together to promote learning for all ages throughout the region, culminating in a week of fun events and activities which are free & open to all.
Kamal says of the event, “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to take part in such a wonderful event that encourages lifelong learning. I believe we never stop learning and should always strive to learn and grow to the best of our abilities, so to be able to contribute in this small way is a great privilege”.
The Limerick man is now based in Dublin where he runs his highly successful film production company Reelscreen Films.
Kamal is the Founder, Producer and a Creative Director in the company which focuses primarily on high concept lifestyle videos for brands in Ireland and overseas. Though he is known for his presenting roles, Kamal has been working professionally in film & TV production for almost 10 years and has produced a number of award-winning feature films, short films, and documentaries, most of which have been aired on our national broadcaster RTE. Kamal plans to expand his business and do more work in his hometown of Limerick saying, “So many great things are happening in Limerick and the future of the city is brighter now than ever before. I want to continue to play a role in the promotion of the city and bring ideas, talent, and employment opportunities to the city every chance I get.
People can see more at his website www.reelscreenfilms.ie or can come and catch him at his portrait session on Friday, March 23 12 pm – 3 pm in the art studio at the Further Education & Training Centre, Kilmallock Road.
