Karaoke Night at Strokers Bar

On Friday 9th December, Mr Gay Ireland, Konrad Im, Mr Gay Limerick, Christian Moretti, Limerick LGBTQ Pride Chairwoman Louise McCormack, & Singer/Karaoke Host Baza Maher are descending onto Strokers Gay Bar in Limerick city to judge the first event for Limerick Pride 2017, a Karaoke Night.

Sign up for the Karaoke Night will begin from 8:30 with the show commencing at 9pm.

Many people will know Baza from hosting karaoke all over Cork, notably in Loafers Bar and indeed from coming third in the all Ireland Karaoke Competition himself. The judges are people voted into positions of representation within the gay community this year, who are all super excited to be attending this event. The stage is set, whether you sing for fun or sing to win! Entry to the event is free, and singers will make a five or ten euro donation to enter the competition, concession for students. There are prizes for first, second and third, with first prize being a hamper donated by Strokers Gay Bar.

Speaking to I Love Limerick, Mr Gay Limerick Christian Moretti said he was very excited about the karaoke night: “I feel honoured to take part to this event. I am very proud to represent the Limerick LGBTQI community and to give something back to it. I am terribly excited about hearing the Limerick talents and cannot wait to get onto the stage with the other judges!”

Limerick LGBT has a thriving community working together and with other organisations to progress gay rights and culture in the city and county. The highlight of the year is the annual Limerick LGBT Pride festival. For Limerick LGBT who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender this is an amazing occasion as everyone walks with Pride up O’Connell Street accompanied by their loved ones, family and friends as the lovely people of Limerick cheer from the sidelines.

Karaoke kicks off at 9pm, with sign-ups starting from 8.30pm!
