Karl Spain and friends take part in the Comedy KARLnival Online
Comedy KARLnival Online with Karl Spain and friends, Friday, March 5, Live from Sound To Light Studio in Galway, Featuring Jason Byrne (the king of comedy), Lisa Casey (Winner: Irish Comedian of the Year 2018), Tom O’Mahony (Damo & Ivor / Bridget & Eamon – RTE) with your host Karl Spain.
They have been working hard behind the scenes to fine-tune the online comedy experience for both the comedians and audiences. This Friday, March, 5 you will be getting one step closer to a real-life comedy club experience via a professional studio, with the comedians performing to a virtual front-row audience on huge LED screens. Better quality sound, lights and cameras, and real-time 2-way interaction. It’s not better than the real thing and it’s hopefully not the new normal but using the very best technology available to bring you a high-quality night of laughs.
The biggest selling comedian at the Edinburgh Fringe, Jason Byrne’s inspired, original brand of high-energy intelligent lunacy ensures that there is no other comedian like him. His sell out shows have attracted accolades including the highly coveted Perrier Newcomer Award Nomination and the Perrier Award Nomination.
He has been featured across the water on Live at the Apollo, Dave’s One Night Stand, and John Bishop’s Only Joking. Closer to home, Jason starred in Anonymous on RTÉ2 and is a judge on Ireland’s Got Talent where he became the first judge to ever accidentally hit the Golden Buzzer during an audition, sending the act straight through to the semi-finals.
With Jason, anything can and will happen. It’s that sense of stepping into the unknown, of watching a comedian The Times described as “The outright king of comedy” go off on wildly hilarious tangents while delivering truly joyous comedy that keeps delighted audiences coming back every year. He’s a barely-in-control master of audience mockery and mayhem. He fires on all cylinders from the moment he bounds onto the stage.
On March 5th, the Online Comedy KARLnival is getting one step closer to a real-life comedy club experience.
You can watch on a private livestream with an Observer ticket – or get a VIP ticket, join the virtual front row, enjoy live interaction with the acts & provide the laughs! pic.twitter.com/7bCqITE16b

The Small Print
There are two types of tickets for this show.
‘Observer’ Ticket – €12 / €10 (members)

‘VIP’ Front Row Ticket – €15 / €12.50 (members)
Be a part of the action, join the video call and provide the laughs, LIVE. (Very limited number of tickets)
With this ticket you are asked to have your mic and camera on, so you’re visible to the comedians & occasionally our livestream audience and your laughter adds to the atmosphere of our show. We do ask our VIPs to turn their mic down to 25%, and be aware of their surroundings at home, ie: mute themselves during conversations, watch out for the crying baby / barking dogs / pizza delivery guy – as all the unintentional background noises take away from the quality of the show. Too much noise and you will be muted! You also get access to an extra 30 minutes of banter pre-show from 8:30pm in the “Green Room” with Karl Spain.
Link will be sent at 8pm to join the fun from 8:30pm.
