The iconic King John’s Castle on ‘King’s Island’ in the heart of medieval Limerick City presented King Johns Castle Vintage Fashion at the Castle in aid of Enable Ireland on 12th June from 2-6pm, hosted by AbsolutelyFab Les Events.

The stunning new exhibition at King John’s Castle brings to life over 800 years of dramatic local history, with the sights, scenes and sounds and its environs all combining to recreate the atmosphere of the era. Those who attended dressed in their best vintage finery on the day and Aoife McNamara won best dressed on the day.

It was relaxing views as the Afternoon Tea in the Courtyard Cafe boasted terrific views of the castle and the River Shannon. People browsed the exclusive stalls showcasing the best in Vintage & Retro collections, whilst enjoying live music from Retro Gospel Choir and a fabulous fashion show of clothing collections from local boutiques and traders. There was loads of prizes for Best Tea-Party outfit, goodies and raffle for gorgeous gift hamper to be won.
