Kreative Konnections event answers Seanad’s call for Civic Entrepreneurship

Empower Hour, a Limerick support group advocating access to affordable wellness solutions from a cooperative of mental health professionals, across all mediums of communication, has now teamed up with talented business support mentors in response to the ‘Seanad’s Public Consultation Committee’ report earlier this year.

The report calls for the need to increase educational supports, resources, and access to civic entrepreneurship as a community resource and especially to the younger generation. The initiative ‘Kreative Konnections’ is for everybody, not just entrepreneurs. It aims to fill the market gap and foster entrepreneurial endeavors through different initiatives fostering community interest in business through positivism and inclusion.

The initiative has its debut launch on November 23,  2019, at Limerick Strand’s Hotel, offering access to outside of the box solutions for business.

The initiative ‘Kreative Konnections’ aims to tackle issues regarding access within entrepreneurship and address certain findings in the Seanad report earlier this year where 93 stakeholders in public consultation identified challenges for SMEs as equal opportunity for women and the need to foster an entrepreneurial spirit in education and young people.

Kreative Konnections wishes to tackles this through a series of inspiring events that focus on inclusion & creativity in business. With an ambitious Ambassador’s program for young budding entrepreneurs in the pipelines.

Saralee Cassidy of Empower Hour, said, ‘To foster an entrepreneurial attitude in Ireland, it must be seen as a natural and positive thing, not just belonging to those who have attended third level institutes. Also, business supports need to be re-framed in a positive way where courses need to harness the power of creativity, idea generation, positive psychology, and inner resilience. A growth-driven empowered mindset was never so necessary especially in this ‘Brexit’ climate of uncertainty.

Saralee added, ‘The committee’s rapporteur, Senator Pádraig Ó Céidigh, highlighted a need that Irish people can, and have an obligation to provide an environment in facilitating and supporting people with educational supports for enterprise so people can contribute to their community and society.”

The focus of ‘Kreative Konnections’ is to facilitate such an environment and make accessible positive new thinking in business, that fosters idea generation, looking to make business interesting, fun and accessible to all.

Eamonn Smith, Life Transformation Coach who is part of the initiative, said, “You can be, do and have everything you want. You just need to know it’s possible and you deserve it. My passion is helping people realize this within themselves. My passion is helping, many people think what they lack is motivation, when in fact they lack quality of life if you can change your habits you can change your life and the way you think, perceive and feel.”

‘Kreative Konnections’ is a direct response initiative to the Seanad Committee’s report calling for increased educational supports for young people in business with a specific focus on accessibility and positivism, harnessing a spirit of civic entrepreneurship in uncertain financial times.

It has its debut launch at the Strand Hotel on November 23, 2019, from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm offering ‘outside of the box’ thinking solutions, idea generation, idea campaigns, how to cope with overwhelming and develop inner resilience in life and professional life. It is open to all with a specific focus on positive psychology in business.
