The Irish Film and Media sector is growing rapidly in the last few years, especially here in Limerick. The newest project to hit the streets is Krooked Tease Animations.
Krooked Tease is the love child of Jake O’Connor, founder, creative writer and head illustrator and animator, and Ian Brew, creative writer and voice actor. In 2015, Jake started a small project making various t-shirt designs and stickers; selling merch in shops, online and at markets. As the project slowly grew so did the passion to create an animation series using the characters from the t-shirts.
Jake and Ian started working on a mini-series introducing a unique style and variety of characters which can be found on their YouTube Channel.
“We have a strong passion for creative arts, cartoons, entertainment and humour. Through this, we wanted to create something that reflects our personalities and also something that many of you out there can relate to. An animated series has been a dream of our as we absolutely love cartoons, ” said Jake.
The dynamic duo is now working on a pilot episode for a TV series, which they believe will give them the platform they serve deserve and open up more opportunities here in Limerick. Currently, they have a Kickstarter campaign where you can donate to their cause and help fund the making of their pilot episode, which can be found by visiting www.kickstarter.com and searching Krooked Tease or following this link – http://kck.st/2BTHyp6
