LCFE PROSPECTUS 2019/20 is launched for the forthcoming academic year

Limerick College of Further Education (LCFE) launched its new LCFE Prospectus of full-time Courses for the 2019/2020 academic year. Containing information on over seventy different courses the prospectus is available in print as well as an online version downloadable from the website.

Commenting on the LCFE Prospectus, Pat Maunsell, LCFE Principal, said: “We are delighted to launch our new prospectus for the forthcoming academic year. We have reviewed our courses and added new ones in order to meet the demands of learners and employers. I invite you to view our prospectus and come and visit the College on our Open Day on Thursday 24 January 2019.”

In a period of significant change for the Further Education and Training sector, LCFE is responding, according to Pat Maunsell: “We are positioning the College to be a major player in the education landscape of the Mid-West. LCFE is already the largest FE College in the region. We have exciting expansion plans and are continually adapting our programmes to better meet the needs of our customers.”

The new prospectus also outlines several new programmes the College is planning to offer in 2019/20 including:

· Computer Games Programming

· Art, Design and Three Dimensional Portfolio

· Retail Practice and Blogging for Fashion

· Interior Design Skills and Portfolio

· Computer Games Design

· Digital Media Production

· Pre Physiotherapy/Sports Therapy

Limerick College of Further Education is a long-established, state-funded and administered further education college. It is one of many centres of education run by Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board. LCFE was known until 2008 as Limerick Senior College.

Limerick College of Further Education offers Further Education (Post Leaving Certificate) programmes and Professional qualifications in a variety of disciplines and caters for approximately 1200 full-time and 3000 part-time learners. Its campuses are situated in the South-East of the city on Mulgrave Street (a short distance from the city centre) and also in East Limerick at Cappamore.

Limerick College of Further Education aims to provide high quality internationally-recognised educational programmes, delivered in a modern dynamic environment by a highly qualified and committed team of teachers. Programmes are accredited by a number of prestigious validating bodies. The approval of LCFE by these bodies is a further benchmark of the high quality of courses, facilities, tuition and support structures on offer.
