Learning Hub, based in Kileely, Limerick, is starting its 2026 – 2027 school year by offering after-school classes in STEAM, Art, Music, Gardening and Kickboxing
As the glorious summer is coming to an end, Learning Hub, based in Kileely, Limerick, is starting its new semester by offering after-school classes in STEAM, Art, Music, Gardening and Kickboxing. Some of the classes are open to learners as young as 7 years.
Learning Hub Limerick offers an inclusive, safe and welcoming informal learning space to children and young people from local communities that supports mainstream education and encourages learners to discover their talents and to reach their full potential.
Art Classes will run from Monday to Thursday according to the following schedule: Senior Art on Mondays, 3:30 – 4:30 for 10–12-year-olds, Budding Artists for 7–9-year-olds on either Tuesdays, 3:30 – 4:15 or Wednesdays, 4:15 – 5:00, and Junior Art and Music (JAM) for 7–9-year-olds on Thursdays, 3:00 – 5:00. Music Hub is returning with individual drum, guitar, piano and song-writing classes from Monday, September 14. For additional information, please contact Dominic at the Music Hub on 086 778 8572.
Kickboxing classes are starting from Monday, August 31. There might be some spaces left in the Little Ninjas (7+ year-olds) and Junior Kickboxing (7+ year-olds) classes. For additional information, please contact Paul at the Health Hub on 087 705 0905.
The STEAM Academy (Science Hub) is having Open Days for student registration throughout the week starting Monday, September 7, with STEAM classes starting the following week. Junior STEAM Team for 8–10-year-olds with Ruth on Wednesdays, 3:30 – 4:15, and Young STEAM Team with Ugis (Hugo) for 11–12-year-olds on Thursdays, 4:00 – 5:00. Learning Hub Limerick is also running a Community Gardening Club in collaboration with Northside Family Resource Centre for individuals and families on Wednesdays, 10:00 – 12:00. For additional information, please contact the main office on 083 487 8704.
James Blake, Learning Hub CEO said, “Learning Hub was set up to encourage children and families in the immediate area to continue with education. We work with families and the community, encouraging continuous education so they can learn.
“We create an interest in learning by supporting and facilitating young people’s creativity. Our programmes are designed around young people discovering for themselves what they want to learn about and us helping and encouraging them to explore that interest. The young people are driving the learning.”
