The name ‘To the Ones’ was inspired initially by the lyrics which are, “To the Ones, We Hate the Most”. Lee feels like in today’s generation, a lot of people care too much about what other people are thinking of them and this was the inspiration for the single.

Lee feels that everything is going great with his music producing at the moment and the lockdown has been a help. He said, “I feel like I have way more time to focus on my music since the schools are closed. I’m in TY, so we don’t get that much work anyway on remote learning. I have lots of new tracks scheduled for release, some with some really big record labels that I will be revealing very soon! I’m also working on lots of new music!”

Lee signed his first record deal in 2019 with Open House Records on his debut single ‘Giving Up on Love’. He has signed a record deal with BLINDsided Records, home to John Gibbons, Martin Guilfoyle, and many more with his track ‘Do You Feel What I’m Feeling’.

He started producing at the age of thirteen, and over the past few years, the Limerick-based producer has made huge ground within the music scene in Limerick and all over the world.

Lee won Dance Freedom Producer of the Year in 2020, an amazing achievement by the young musician. This award was proof to every one of the talent that this young man has, he is everything that the Limerick music scene embodies, and it is fantastic that the diverse music scene of Limerick is being recognised within this young man.

Fans of Lee will be excited to know that he has lots of upcoming and exciting plans in store, he said, “I have lots of new collaborations in the works with some amazing artists such as Gold 88, who have releases on huge labels such as Sony. We actually have a track dropping on a really big label that has huge artists such as Tiesto on board. More information will come on that very shortly. I have more tracks on the way with a vocalist called Robyn Hart who is absolutely incredible, As well as a singer/songwriter who goes by the name of JAMO, who is also amazing!”

He adds, “I’m very excited to say that I’ll be going to Ibiza for the first time to DJ. My manager is in touch with a few promoters over there and I’m scheduled to go over in May 2022 which I am so excited for!”

When asked what advice he would give to new and upcoming DJ’s, he said, “Always stay professional. Treat yourself as a brand, not a person. Be consistent with it and make music every single day. Practise makes perfect! Do it because you love it and make sure that you are enjoying it, that’s the most important thing.”

He added, “With regards to growing, be creative, stand out. Everyone is doing the same thing by making music and hoping to get a record deal. Now everything is just changing and some labels will judge you from your social media presence. You need to be marketing yourself right and doing something different to build that following and fanbase. For me, I’m starting to do tutorials which will be dropping very soon to IGTV and YouTube!”

Congrats Lee! We are all rooting for you at I Love Limerick!
