LEGENDS 4 Milford will take place at Ballyneety Golf Club on Friday, August 21, bringing together some of the biggest names associated with Limerick hurling and Munster rugby for a Ryder Cup-style golfing showdown.

The unique event will combine sporting rivalry with fundraising and entertainment, with organisers hoping to create a memorable day while raising vital funds and awareness for the work of Milford Care Centre.

The LEGENDS 4 Milford teams made up of well-known former and current Limerick GAA hurlers and Munster Rugby players will battle it out over the course of the day at Ballyneety, with the competition providing an opportunity for supporters to see some familiar sporting faces in a very different setting.

While the event itself is being held as a corporate fundraiser, members of the public will still be able to follow the action throughout the day through social media updates.

Organisers also plan to share a donation link regularly online, giving supporters who cannot attend the event the opportunity to contribute to the fundraising effort and support Milford Care Centre.

The day will feature more than just golf, with food and refreshments forming part of the event before the action continues with a live question-and-answer session involving players from both teams.

For many of the participants, the event will offer a chance to reconnect with former sporting colleagues and friends while supporting a cause that has a strong connection with the Limerick community.

The organisers said the ambition is to create a memorable experience for everyone involved, from the players and corporate sponsors to those following the event online.

As the teams prepare to swap the hurling pitch and rugby field for the fairways and greens of Ballyneety Golf Club, attention will inevitably turn to which group can claim bragging rights.

But regardless of who comes out on top, the real winner on the day will be Milford Care Centre, with all fundraising from LEGENDS 4 Milford going towards supporting its work.
