As part of the 2026 Limerick St Patrick’s Festival, some legends of Limerick music are set to play a free open-air gig at Arthur’s Quay Park on Monday, March 16

Limerick City Centre will be buzzing throughout the 2026 Limerick St Patrick’s Festival, and some of the city’s established and rising musical talent are going to set the tempo on Monday, March 16, with a free open-air gig in Arthur’s Quay Park.
Running from 5 pm to 10 pm, the free open-air gig will celebrate homegrown talent as part of the Limerick St Patrick’s Festival 2026 programme, where the major night of music will feature five of Limerick’s top acts, curated by Trad Folkin’ Rocks, a group set up to support traditional Irish music, arts, and culture.
Taking to the stage on the day will be up-and-coming act Major Feen, bringing a mixture of punk and Irish folk music and have been tipped as one to watch for 2026.
Joining the Limerick-based band will be fellow trad/punk group, The Labourers. The band will get crowds pumping with their infusion of melodic harmonies and traditional accompaniment with punk back beats. Having gained popularity, the duo will be known for their locally inspired EP, ‘The Curse of Saint Munchin’.
Known for his work in experimental hip-hop and rap, Citrus Fresh will take the evening of local music in a new direction, showing the wide scope of Limerick talent. Known for putting on a great show, Citrus Fresh will make this a gig worth not missing.

Still celebrating the recent release of ‘For All the Island Field’, Hazey Haze will take to the stage, having treated Limerick audiences to a special street performance of his new material as part of the Treaty Xmas Fair over the Christmas period. After a decade in music, beginning as part of rap group Same D4Ence, Hazey went solo in 2018, releasing a number of hip-hop and rap albums, EPs, singles, and a collection of music videos
Completing the lineup is the legend of the local music scene, Denise Chaila, the Irish-Zambian rapper, who began performing on the Limerick music scene in 2012, featuring in the Rusangano Family ‘Let the Dead Bury the Dead’ album, and having her music praised by actor Cillian Murphy. The singer went on to release her first album ‘Go Bravely’, in October 2020 and has been a favourite in the local music scene throughout her career.
Legends of Limerick is strictly an over-18s event, but entry is free, offering festival-goers an accessible way to experience live music during the St Patrick’s celebrations. Presented by Limerick At Night in association with Big Boss Presents, the event is expected to draw large crowds and create a lively evening atmosphere and an early arrival is advised!
