John Kiely has named his Limerick team to face Clare this Sunday in the 2026 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Semi Final

The Limerick Manager has announced an unchanged starting 15 from their heroic Munster Final win in June.

John Kiely has revealed his squad to face Munster rivals, Clare, in this Sunday’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling semi-final in Croke Park. The Limerick Manager has announced an unchanged starting 15 from their heroic Munster Final win in June.

The news means that Limerick‘s injury worry from that match, left half-forward, Cathal O’Neill, is fit to start the clash against a Clare side coming off the back of their domination over Dublin in the quarter-final, which saw The Banner power home to a 0-29 to -16 win.

John Kiely will be hoping his side shows the same fight that won them the Munster Championship against a strong Cork side as they make their return to Croke Park this Sunday.

The Treaty men came out on top of a dramatic final against Cork as players fought in difficult weather, edging Cork by a single point to bring the Mick Mackey Cup back to Limerick with a 1-21 to 2-17 win and getting them a direct route to the semi-final.

Limerick will be hoping for a repeat performance of their earlier clash with Clare in the Munster Championship round robin, where they beat Clare 2-30 to 1-18, but a tougher test is expected this late in the competition, and Limerick will need to be at their best.

The Limerick squad to start on Sunday are Nickie Quaid in goal following his standout performance in the Munster final, Sean Finn, Dan Morrissey, and Barry Nash lead the fullback line with Diarmaid Byrnes, William O’Donoghue, and Kyle Hayes rounding out the back six.

Captain Cian Lynch and Darragh O’Donovan will look to control the midfield, with Gearoid Hegarty and Aidan O’Connor, rejoined by Cathal O’Neill in the half-forward line following his injury against Cork. Leading from the front will be Aaron Gillane, Shane O’Brien, and Peter Casey.

The substitutes available on the day are Colin Ryan, Mike Casey, Colin Coughlan, Adam English, Fintan Fitzgerald, Matthew Fitzgerald, Hugh Flanagan, Ethan Hurley, Darragh Langan, Tom Morrissey, David Reidy.
