John Kiely has revealed his squad to face Galway in this Sunday’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling final in Croke Park. The Limerick Manager has announced a mostly unchanged starting 15 from their heroic semi-final win against Clare, with team captain Cian Lynch back into the side after injury and Mike Casey coming in at full back.

Sunday’s final marks Limerick and Galway’s first championship meeting since the 2023 semi-final. This will also be the fourth time they come face to face in an All-Ireland final.

A notable change to the team is Cian Lynch makes his return to centre of the field following the semi final. Lynch made an appearance from the bench following an injury scare which saw him sidelines, Limerick fans will be glad to have him return to the starting lineup. Mike Casey also makes a return to the starting lineup. On the other hand, Dan Morrissey and Darragh O’Donovan, both of whom played Clare in the semi-final, start as substitutes.

The Limerick squad to start on Sunday are Nickie Quaid in goal, Sean Finn, Mike Casey and Barry Nash lead the fullback line with Diarmaid Byrnes, William O’Donoghue, and Kyle Hayes rounding out the back six.

Captain Cian Lynch and Adam English will look to control the midfield, with Gearoid Hegarty and Aidan O’Connor, joined by Cathal O’Neill in the half-forward line. Leading from the front will be Aaron Gillane, Shane O’Brien, and Peter Casey.

The substitutes available on the day are Colin Ryan, Colin Coughlan, Fintan Fitzgerald, Matthew Fitzgerald, Hugh Flanagan, Ethan Hurley, Darragh Langan, Dan Morrissey, Tom Morrissey, Darragh O’Donovan, and David Reidy.

Limerick faces Galway in the All Ireland final on the back of an incredible comeback win against Clare in the semi final, overturning a six-point deficit, beating Clare 1-21 to 1-19, to book their spot in the 2026 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final.

The big screen watch party for those who couldn’t get a ticket for Croke Park will take place at Pery Square, hosted by Limerick GAA and Limerick City and County Council. Although free, the family-friendly event is ticketed, with reservations now open through Eventbrite, with supporters urged to book early to avoid disappointment for the event beginning at 2 pm. While many supporters will make the journey to Croke Park, the Big Screen event will offer thousands of fans the opportunity to experience the atmosphere together in the heart of the city’s Georgian Quarter. There will be entertainment on the day with music from Martin Cosgrave, special guests, DJ’s, face painters, and family fun.
