Limerick band Kingfishr have announced a major run of outdoor headline shows for summer 2027
Limerick band Kingfishr have announced a major run of outdoor headline shows for summer 2027, confirming a trio of dates across Belfast, Dublin and Limerick that will see them perform to more than 90,000 fans in total.
The band will headline Belsonic in Belfast on June 11, 2027, followed by a show at Marlay Park in Dublin on June 19, before concluding the run at Thomond Park in Limerick on July 10. The announcement follows a run of widely praised stadium and arena performances across Ireland, further underlining the rapid rise in their live reputation.
The momentum behind Kingfishr continues to build on the back of significant chart and streaming success. Their breakout single Killeagh became a cultural phenomenon in Ireland, spending 17 weeks at No. 1. Their debut album Halcyon also reached No. 1, while later release The Sun Will Never Settle has already spent multiple weeks at the top of the Irish charts. The album also saw international traction, including a Top 10 UK chart position and strong ticket demand during their recent touring cycle.

Much of the band’s growth has been driven by their live performances, which have developed a reputation for emotional intensity and communal energy. Their recent tour reportedly sold around 60,000 tickets, including multiple sold-out nights at major venues, while festival appearances and arena shows have further expanded their audience.
Kingfishr are an Irish indie folk group formed in Limerick in 2022, comprising members Eddie Keogh (lead vocals, guitar, harmonica), Eoghan “McGoo” McGrath (banjo, guitar, backing vocals), and Eoin “Fitz” Fitzgibbon (guitar, backing vocals). The three members met whilst studying engineering in Limerick.
Frontman Eddie reflected on the band’s journey and the significance of the venues they are now headlining, saying:
“Before we started the band, we had been to many of the venues we played last week to see our favourite artists play: Mumford & Sons, Paolo Nutini, The Killers being the ones that spring to mind. Being on those stages was nothing short of an out of body experience. The support we felt every night was some we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We want to do it again, but bigger. So that’s what we’re doing.”
Tickets go on general sale HERE from 10am on Friday, June 26. Fans who sign up to the Kingfishr mailing list HERE can access a pre-sale which opens at 10am on Wednesday, June 24. A Mastercard pre-sale begins at the same time. Prices are expected to range from approximately €65.70 to €86.25, plus applicable service charges.
Alongside the newly announced Irish dates, Kingfishr are maintaining a busy international schedule, including UK and European festival appearances, a largely sold-out North American headline tour, and further major festival slots such as Reading & Leeds. Their continued touring activity through late 2026 and into 2027 reflects a band firmly in the midst of a sustained breakout period on both sides of the Atlantic.
