Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards 2019 launched to honour excellence and innovation in business
The Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards 2019 in association with awards sponsor LIT were launched on Tuesday, June 25 at the Castletroy Park hotel to honour excellence and innovation in business in the Mid West.
The Awards celebrate the success of companies based in Tipperary, Clare and Limerick and recognise their vital contribution to the national economy.
“I’m excited to see who throws their hat in the ring this year – from engaging with companies over the past 12 months I can tell you that there are a number of incredible success stories in the region so I expect competition to be steep” Dee Ryan, Limerick Chamber CEO commented
Seven awards categories were announced for the event which is due to take place in November in Limerick. They include:
- Best Emerging Business 2019, sponsored by LIT and Limerick City & Council
- Best SME: Contribution to the Region 2019, sponsored by AIB
- Best Large Business: Contribution to the Region 2019, sponsored by HOMS
- Best CSR: Contribution to the Region 2019, sponsored by Deloitte
- Best Retail and Hospitality 2019, sponsored by BDO
- Best Not for Profit 2019, sponsored by Northern Trust
- Best Employer 2019, sponsored by Limerick Chamber Skillnets
Speaking on behalf of LIT who are the overall Regional Business Awards Sponsors – Vincent Cunnane said:

Media sponsors, Limerick Leader and Limerick’s Live 95FM are on board again for 2019 and will be profiling shortlisted companies in the run-up to the awards night.
For the second year in a row, the independent Judging Panel will be chaired by Anne Heraty, of CPL, who also Chairs the judging panel for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
“It’s very important to us that companies, who put considerable effort into their entries, are aware of the scrutiny and high standard that applications are subjected to, and of the time and work that goes into the judging. We are very grateful to our independent, accomplished industry leaders who assess applications and adjudicate on category winners.” Dee Ryan, Limerick Chamber.
The Awards are open to businesses in Limerick, Clare, Tipperary, North Cork and North Kerry; entries welcome from members and non-members alike.
