Limerick Chamber has announced Chief Executive Donnacha Hurley is to leave his position and return to hospitality with Limerick Strand Hotel

Limerick Chamber Chief Executive Donnacha Hurley will leave the organisation to return to the hospitality sector, taking up the role of General Manager at the Strand Hotel in Limerick.
Donnacha took up the Limerick Chamber role in March and has worked closely with the Chamber’s Board, team, members and stakeholders during his time with the organisation.
Limerick Chamber President Maria Gleeson said, “On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Donnacha for his contribution to Limerick Chamber and wish him every success as he returns to the hospitality sector in his new role as General Manager of the Strand Hotel.”
The Limerick Chamber President announced the outgoing Chief Executive is to “remain an important part of the Limerick business community”, saying the group looks forward to continuing its work with him.
She added, “The Chamber has a strong and experienced team and our focus remains firmly on delivering for our members and advocating for the continued economic development of Limerick and the wider Mid-West.”

Donnacha Hurley said, “I have greatly valued the opportunity to lead Limerick Chamber and to work with its team, Board and members.
“Hospitality has been an important part of my career, and the opportunity to return to the sector as General Manager of the Strand Hotel is one I am very excited to take up.
“I am grateful for my time with Limerick Chamber and wish the team, Board and members every success for the future.”
The Chamber’s senior leadership team will manage day-to-day operations during the transition, with oversight from the Board, and the Board will consider the Chamber’s longer-term leadership arrangements and communicate further in due course.
