Limerick Chamber looks forward to an exciting day this Thursday, May 11, as they offer businesses across the Mid-west the opportunity to get involved in our Inaugural Limerick Chamber Golf Classic.

Limerick Chamber looks forward to meeting with its members and notes the support membership has provided in registering teams and getting involved. The Limerick Chamber Golf Classic is a fantastic opportunity to take time for team building with colleagues, corporate entertainment for clients and suppliers, informal networking, or just an enjoyable round of golf.

The Inaugural event will take place in the wonderful and scenic grounds of the Limerick Golf Club course in Ballyclough. Limerick Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in Ireland, founded in the same year as the Golfing Union of Ireland, in 1891. The grounds boast an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Dr. Alister McKenzie, architect of Lahinch and Augusta National, and others by John D. Harris.

The grounds also became synonymous with the launch of the JP McManus Invitational Pro-Am, the biggest pro-am event of its kind in Europe, which had its home at Limerick Golf Club from 1990, with the last staging in July 2000.

Through the support of main sponsor, Mr Binman, Limerick Chamber is thrilled to present its members and businesses in the Midwest with a unique and exciting offering with the golf classic, which the group now hopes to host annually.

“Our aim would be that the Limerick Chamber Golf Classic would become a staple in the calendars of businesses across the Mid-West in keeping with the success of our highly successful Limerick Chamber Presidents Dinner and Regional Business Awards,” said Limerick Chamber.

Joe Cleary, Sales and Marketing Director, Mr Binman, our main sponsors who are making it possible for us to deliver this offering, have said, “Mr Binman is thrilled to be sponsoring the first Limerick Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic in May. As a company that values community support, we are delighted to be a part of this event and contribute to its success. Supporting the communities in which we operate is a top priority for us at Mr Binman, and we take great pride in partnering with organisations that share our values. The Golf Classic is an excellent opportunity for us to come together with the business community of Limerick and highlight our Chamber’s commitment to supporting local initiatives. We look forward to an exciting event and wish all participants the best of luck.”

Limerick Chamber said it is “most grateful to the response we have had from the community, from registering their teams on the day”, and to their “fantastic Tee sponsors” for additional supports and providing “a wonderful array of prize offerings as well as an enjoyable day out for all”.

“Our winning prize on the day for a lucky team of 4 will be the opportunity to represent Limerick Chamber in Chambers Ireland’s inaugural golf competition, which takes place on October 20th in the K Club, County Kildare. Chambers Ireland Golf Classic competition is open to the winners of all Chamber golf classics, with the overall winners on the day taking the title of all island Chamber Champions,” The Chamber spokesperson concluded.

The fee includes golf, goodie bags, refreshments at Tee 10 and dinner for every team.
