By I Love Limerick Correspondent Niamh Higgins
Ireland’s first ever city obstacle course is coming. What’s even more exciting is that it is coming to Limerick. This spectacular event will take place on Sunday September 14th throughout the city. Runners taking part in the 7km event will be faced with a number of fun and exciting challenges including climbing, swinging, dashing and racing! The course promises to be unlike any ever seen before and obstacles will stay true to the city theme. “We at Limerick Obstacle Course love our city and want people to enjoy Limerick’s beautiful scenery like never before. With over two years in the making we have put major effort and work into making sure the route and obstacles are top notch for participants. With obstacles spread out through Limerick you will make your way around the course testing yourself on our City style obstacles. Each obstacle has been designed around a City Theme with cars and buses brought into the mix this course is sure to change things up. But don’t think you’re getting out clean there are a few messy obstacles in stall for you too!
Limerick City Obstacle Course will be run in conjunction with Limerick City of Culture 2014. Other sponsors include Limerick’s Live 95, Specsavers and Recycle Right.
