Winter fashion will be showcased like never before in Limerick as Ireland’s capital of style stages a unique Fashion Trail as one of the key events of the upcoming Style Festival.

Launched recently at Marco Polo Restaurant in O’Connell Street, the Fashion Trail will see 16 of Limerick’s leading retailers put style on the City of Culture map on Friday, October 24th as they host sequential fashion shows in their stores.

Between 10am and 4:30pm fashionistas, young and old, will be treated to the very best of what’s on offer in Limerick’s stylish outlets as they join the Fashion Trail.

The event will be as social as it is eye catching as stores will provide morning coffees, afternoon teas and in some cases, a glass of bubbly for customers as they make their way along the trail to take in the pop-up fashion shows. Retailers will also be giving fashion tips as well as special offers and discounts.

The Fashion Trail is one of the key elements of the Limerick Style Festival (Wednesday, October 22nd to Friday, October 24th), the centrepiece of which is the Limerick International Fashion Student Awards.

Spearheaded by Celia Holman Lee, the Style Festival will attract student fashion designers representing some of the world’s leading design colleges along with a host of established fashion industry names to Limerick for the three day extravaganza.

Included in the list of well know fashion names attending will be Valerie Campbell, mother of renowned international supermodel Naomi Campbell, who will be a special guest of the Limerick International Fashion Student Awards thanks to Social & Personal magazine and the Hugh Campbell Hair Group.

Said Celia, “Limerick will be an international cross-roads for some of the best up and coming fashion design talent in the world for three days so we really wanted to make the most of this by providing our retailers with a platform to promote their wares. That’s what the Fashion Trail is aimed at.”
