Limerick folk rock act Warsaw Radio return
Limerick folk rock act Warsaw Radio return with a punchy new single, video and an Irish tour in February. The band is set to play live at Dolans Limerick on Friday, February 19 as part of a 5 city Irish Tour.
Following appearances at the Great Escape Festival in the UK, shows in Whelans Dublin, the Belfast Empire, Crane Lane in Cork, Roisin Dubh Galway and a mind blowing performance at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s in London Warsaw Radio have released their latest single “Down by The Sea”.
Warsaw Radio’s new single “Down by the Sea” will be officially launched at Whelans Dublin on February 17. The single has already been described by Rob O’Connor, Irish Beats, Beat 102-103 FM, as a “Totally organic sound” “strings, brass and an achingly simple vocal. Love it!”
Brightons Finest – UK Music Mag & Blog says that “Their latest single sounds lush. The first thing that strikes me listening to this collection of songs is how rich and pretty the instrumentation sounds”.
According to Source Magazine the “Irish frontman McNamara has a knack of enveloping the listener with his story telling style song-writing“.
While this band is based in Brighton, UK, the band is fronted by song-writer, guitarist and vocalist Brían McNamara who hails from Limerick. According to McNamara “For this record we focused on getting a raw live studio sound… this is music without additives.The Warsaw Radio sound taps from a well of music that includes Wilco, The Waterboys and The Frames.
Warsaw Radio’s unique folk, rock, country infused style has attracted a lot of attenion across the UK and Ireland having supported Irish singer-songwriter Mick Flannery on his UK tour this band are the ones to watch.
