Launching this year’s awards, Sergeant Seamus O’Neill said, “We’ve had two very successful years with our awards, but they depend on as many people as we can get the message out to, that these awards are for young people between the ages of 14-19, living within the Limerick Garda Division.”

There will be between 8-10 awards on the night, with four overall winners, with one award winner from each of the four Garda districts within the Limerick division; Bruff, Newcastle West, Henry Street and Roxboro Road. As with last year’s event, the number of award categories increased as the organisers saw an increase in nominations.

Sergeant O’Neill added, “We want the message to get out there now, all the nominations will have to be in by Friday, October 28, and November 24 is the date of the awards night in the Woodlands House Hotel in Adare, Co. Limerick.

“We are very grateful to SuperValu in Corbally and Centra in Newcastle West; the Garvey Group, for their sponsorship of this event because without them we wouldn’t be able to do it.”
