The Limerick City Gift Card, Backed by Limerick City and County Council and Limerick Chamber, is now available in-store at Franklins on O’Connell Street

The popular Limerick Gift Card, a powerful initiative to support local businesses and keep spending within Limerick, is now available for purchase in-store at Franklins, O’Connell Street – right in the heart of the city.

Backed by Limerick City and County Council and the Limerick Chamber, the Limerick Gift Card offers a convenient, flexible, and meaningful way to shop local.

Accepted in over 170 Limerick Businesses, across a wide range of retailers, restaurants, cafés, and service providers across Limerick City and County, the Limerick Gift card makes for an ideal gift – while also directly boosting the local economy.

The City Gift Card can be loaded with any amount, giving customers the flexibility to spend as they wish while discovering – or rediscovering – what makes Limerick’s retail and hospitality scene so vibrant.

Franklins are a family-owned business in the heart of O’Connell Street. They were straight off the mark when the Limerick Gift Card was launched to back this initiative. They are experts in all types of footwear and bag repairs, key cutting, etc.  

City Gift Cards are now available in-store at Franklins, O’Connell Street and the Limerick Chamber as well as online. For a full list of participating businesses or to buy online.

Richard is a presenter, producer, songwriter and actor. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year (2011) and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards (2011) for promoting multi-culturalism online. Richard says that the ilovelimerick.com concept is very much a community driven project that aims to document life in Limerick. So, that in 20 years time people can look back and remember the events that were making the headlines.
