Speaking of the great Limerick Gin Fair, House Limerick’s bar manager, Robbie Carey said “We are delighted to be launching the Great Gin Fair on the August Bank Holiday – a first for both House Limerick & Limerick city! We will be showcasing gins from around the world and acting as host to some fabulous bespoke pop-up bars. We even have our own currency! (Don’t worry, there will be a bureau de change on site!) As well as that, there will be live music to keep you going, food throughout the day and chats from some of the gin-industry experts. So, a very exciting day! Whether you are an avid gin-fan or a casual gin-drinker (or neither!), the Great Gin Fair will be a fantastic outting for anyone. A bank holiday Sunday spent sipping gin – sounds good to me!”

Junipers, their gin-inspired currency, will be the only accepted form of legal tender during the event. Don’t worry, there will be a bureau de change on site at all times. For just 7 Junipers (exchange rate: 7= €7) you can get your hands on any measure of gin & tonic from one of our exotic pop-up gin bars.

This will be a similarly-styled gin-celebration to that of the Great Summer Gin Fair hosted by House Limerick’s wonderful sister bar House Dublin but with a Limerick-twist and a few additional oddities thrown in for good measure.

The Great Limerick Gin Fair will be a ticketed event so follow the link below to ensure your golden ticket or stroll down on the day and grab your ticket at the door. Each ticket will entitle you to two G&T’s of your own personal preference from one of the intriguing & alluring pop-ups on show and plenty of food will be served throughout the day.

And, as always, those who are new to gin need not worry. House Limerick know gin like the back of their hand and are more than happy to help. Arrive as gin-dabblers and leave as gin-aficionados.
