Limerick says bonjour with Heineken Sound Atlas

Etienne de Crecy plays The Library Bar, June 16. Legendary Parisian DJ, Etienne de Crecy is bringing the unique Paris music scene to The Library Bar on June 16. Paris, famed for fuelling dance floors across the globe with its disco-inspired French House, is coming to Ireland thanks to Heineken’s passport to global music experiences, Sound Atlas. Following on from two incredibly successful years of bringing Irish music fans a taste of Tokyo, Berlin and Brooklyn, Paris will land in Limerick this June. Heineken Sound Atlas

Etienne de Crecy burst onto the scene with his seminal album, ‘Super Discount’ to major acclaim, and followed it up with ‘Super Discount 2’, which is a must-have in every house DJ’s record collection. Etienne de Crecy is credited as one of the main pioneers of French house music, with its unique use of 70s style sampling, influencing DJs and producers and infiltrating clubs and music collections around the globe. Etienne said: “I can’t wait to show Ireland the free and unique scene that Paris has to offer. Irish people are always the best crowds and I can’t wait to bring the sounds of Paris to them this June.”

The Paris tour will culminate at Longitude where Sound Atlas will host an array of DJ talent, bringing with them the unique sounds of the French capital. In true Sound Atlas style, festival-goers will also be able to skate around a custom-built roller disco and refuel on donuts.

2016 is Sound Atlas’ biggest year to date as it collaborates with DJs all around the world to bring the most exciting and thriving music scenes to the pubs, clubs and festival fields of Irish music lovers. Paris is the first of four upcoming global scenes on the Sound Atlas radar for this year.
