“We are now calling on the people of Limerick to help in any way they can to reduce the cost per player for transport, accommodation and food costs while in London.”

The organisers of the fundraiser have assured that all donations made through the fundraiser will go exclusively towards the costs of the trip.

They added, “We don’t stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.”

The Gaelic Masters Association (GMA) is an independent organisation and the team relies heavily on self-funding as they continue to play the sport they love. The Masters league is open to players above 40 years of age and allows players to continue representing their county at a high level.

They added, “We don’t stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.”

The team has also revealed their new club shop recently, as well as a special charity editions of their club tops that will help support Milford Care Centre. They said, “From Replica Jerseys to Training & Charity Tops, Hoodies, Windbreakers, Retro Gear and lots more.
