Bilal, from Discover Islam, told ilovelimerick, “We have been running exhibitions in Ireland since 2011, and they are going very well. ”

The objective of the Islamic Cultural Exhibition 2018 is to give Limerick people an opportunity to come and see what Islam and Muslims are about. Aiming to be part of an integration process,  the organizer, Discover Islam Ireland hopes that Irish Muslims are not negatively blanket judged as portrayed in the media.

Bilal said“The main purpose for holding this exhibition is to build bridges between cultures, to let people know more about Islamic culture and remove stereotypes”

“Also, it is going to be a good opportunity for people to discover Islamic culture, ” he added.

The Limerick Islamic Cultural Exhibition 2018 will be informative of history, artworks, artifacts and literature about Islam and Muslims. Short discussion forums where the public will be able to discuss and ask questions about Islamic culture and Muslims will also be ongoing during the exhibition.

The exhibition in Limerick will provide visitors with an opportunity to learn about Islam, clarify a point and ask questions on biased stereotypes as well as giving an insight into the Islamic Faith in an environment of openness and willingness.

Discover Islam Ireland is committed to bringing about Peace, Harmony, and Goodwill through knowledge of Islam.
