On November 24, the Limerick Language Centre hosted a special event designed to help students explore career, educational, and entrepreneurial opportunities available in Ireland after completing their English studies.

The day offered practical insights, networking, and guidance to support students in planning their next steps with confidence.

The event featured Care About You, a leading Health Care company, who explained the role of a Health Care Assistant, the growing demand for professionals in the sector, and the steps required to start a career in this area. Students had the chance to learn firsthand about a field full of opportunities in Ireland.

TUS – Technological University of the Shannon also played a key role, with an information stand providing guidance on university courses, application processes, and academic pathways. Their presence allowed students to understand how their English studies can transition into higher education and long-term career plans.

One of the key partners present was Precise TAX, who delivered a highly informative session on the Irish tax system, Revenue procedures, and tax refund applications. Many international students find navigating taxes challenging, and the workshop offered clarity and practical advice for managing financial responsibilities in Ireland.

The school also welcomed Bruna Gato, a former Limerick Language Centre student and now owner of Catlash, a successful beauty business in Ireland. Bruna shared her entrepreneurial journey, from arriving as a student to building her own brand in a competitive market. Her story inspired attendees and demonstrated that with determination and language skills, it is possible to create new opportunities in Ireland.

Adding a cultural touch to the day, Mollys – Learn to Make a Drink offered an interactive moment teaching participants how to prepare the iconic Baby Guinness shot while also sharing insights into the Irish pub culture that is so central to life in Ireland.

The event fostered meaningful connections between students, industry professionals, and academic representatives. Over 30 students renewed their English course on the day, taking advantage of a special offer and demonstrating their commitment to continuing their journey in Ireland.

“As a school with over 35 years of experience, we see our role as going far beyond teaching English,” says Lais Nunes, Marketing and Sales Manager at Limerick Language Centre. “Our mission is to empower students to build a future here in Ireland. This event showcased that opportunities exist in many directions, from education and employment to entrepreneurship and cultural immersion.”

The Limerick Language Centre continues to expand initiatives that connect students to real opportunities, supporting them as they build their journey in Ireland academically, professionally, and personally.
