Limerick Shannon Rotary Club are holding a fundraising Limerick legends live concert for three Schools in Limerick City in recognition of the 200th Anniversary of CBS Sexton St. on Friday November. 20 2015 at 8 pm.

The concert is taking place to raise a total of € 9,000 for the three schools and will be spent on the re-equipping of science supplies in their respective laboratories.

Rotary in holding this concert is recognizing the contribution of the following three Schools, Coláiste Mhichíl (CBS) Sexton Street, Coláiste Nano Nagle (Presentation) Sexton Street and Árd Scoil Mhuire (St. Mary’s) Corbally to the educational, business and social life of Limerick over the past decades and in particular the 200th Anniversary of the founding of CBS in Sexton Street.

This is a unique opportunity for the people of Limerick and surrounding areas, past pupils, public organizations and businesses to recognize the past and present contribution of the Principals, Assistant Principals and Teaching Staff of these three schools. Many Limerick people owe a huge debt to these schools for their own educational opportunity and for a good start in life. Many businesses and industries in this area have benefitted hugely from the quality of education provided by these schools.
