Limerick Mental Health 100km
LMHA strongly believe that fitness is a great way of improving your mental health.

As you may be aware, the Covid-19 restrictions over the last two years have had a severe impact on charities and non-profit organisations who have been unable to carry out many of their traditional fundraisers so Limerick Mental Health Association have brought back an exciting “event” that they can run safely and bring people together in the form of the Limerick Mental Health 100km in a Month Challenge.

This Limerick Mental Health 100km in a Month Challenge is open to everyone (no matter what your level of fitness is), it’s free to join and we want to get as many people as possible involved!

LMHA strongly believe in promoting fitness from beginner level right up to professional, as this is a great way to help promote positive mental health. This is one of the main reasons they have decided to bring back the ‘100km in a Month Challenge’ All funds raised during this challenge will go directly to Limerick Mental Health Association where it will be used to help keep their vital services running safely and resume person to person activities and groups again, to purchase more materials for our men’s shed and women’s group, also to hire external facilitators that will provide training and support to our members in the form of Art and Wellness, Music Therapy, Confidence building, tools for anxiety workshops, positive mental health through dance programme and much more.

They have also linked in with Craig and Ultan of ATLAS fit whose goal is to promote positive mental health through exercise and conversation whilst also raising money for local mental health organisations. They have graciously been working on a short video to explain to people the right way to warm up and cool down before and after getting the KMs in. They will have this on the event facebook page soon for all those who registered to see.

If you want to help this good cause and get active, please go and register HERE

Once you are signed up, they will send you an email with all the details you will need to participate. They will also send you an invitation to join their private facebook support group for this challenge where you will receive:
