Limerick Panto Society brings the laughter, love, and magic of Aladdin to the TUS Millennium Theatre stage this Christmas season

Prepare for a magic carpet ride of fun, laughter, and pantomime fun as Limerick Panto Society will bring the much-loved Aladdin to the TUS Millennium Theatre stage with select dates from December 27, 2025, to January 4, 2026.
The Limerick Panto Society will stage its 39th annual production, Aladdin, at the Millennium Theatre, TUS, this festive season.
Directed by Tony Cusack, the 2025 production for the Limerick Panto Society marks yet another exciting chapter in their long-running history with their 39th annual production. Speaking at the launch of this year’s show at McGettigan’s, Tony said the group are “exctied” to bring the story to Limerick audiences.
Tony said, “ All of us in Limerick Panto Society are excited by this wonderful story. Aladdin is the classic Pantomime with, of course, the classic Dame, the Widow Twankey, played by Tim Cusack. Aladdin is played by Ronan Mitchell this year. Roland has been with us for a number of years, and while young in age, had many years of experience with us. It’s fun for all the family, lots of singing and dancing.”
According to PRO Gareth Airey, ‘Aladdin’ promises a host of surprises, twists, and audience interaction, ensuring a magical experience for the family. The script, originally written by John Finn, but adapted by Tim Cusack, captures the humour, warmth, and energy that make Limerick Panto a much-loved annual tradition.

Joining Tim Cusack and Ronan Mitchell will be Keith McGuane as Abanazer, among others. Tony Cusack is leading the production as director, having headed the Limerick Panto Society for an extraordinary 40 years.
The Society continues its long-standing tradition of supporting local stage and dance schools, with students from Spotlight Stage School, Expressive Arts, and Gemstars featuring in the children’s chorus. The Children’s Grief Centre is the chosen charity for this year, and a special Charity Night will be held during the run of Aladdin to support the organisation.
Princess Alexandra shared her excitement ahead of this year’s show, saying, “ I can’t wait for you to see my love story with Aladdin book your ticket. It’s going to be an absolutely magical time. The show is running from TUS Millennium Theatre from the 27th of December until the 4th of January. Can’t wait to see you there!”
Tickets are available online now for the Limerick Panto Society’s production of Aladdin with pantomime lovers encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.
